Winning Reflections

As International and National season is over… I have had to reflect back on my pageant competing career and what I witnessed the past year and outcome over all the National pageants and local ones too.

One thing I notice is a big rush towards pageant week to get wardrobe complete, to work on routines and to work on final question (interview) PACE your training! You should be coaching at least once a month a year out, and once every other week 2 months out then once a week the last month!

It takes time to learn walk, routines, interview skills and final question skills. Gowns and wardrobe should be done and ready one month out to practice in!

Set yourself up for Success! I know coaching can be pricey but its an investment in yourself! It is why I keep my prices down , given all my titles and 42 years of experience in ALL areas of pageantry. I do this to help you have the opportunity to succeed.

It actually is more expensive NOT to coach because then you will need to start over at your next pageant and not know what you did that could be improved on.

Talk to any International level winner and they will tell you, it took training to get there.

Even at local level, to advance your skills and techniques it takes practice. Just like any sport, gymnastics, dance class. There is always room for improvement and growth, especially if you want to level up in pageantry

If you wanna be the best you have to practice harder than the rest!

Love, Your coach, Brandi Jo
